Malthus is so much fun to write, it’s a shame that I don’t use him anymore. I didn’t really like the way he fit in with the regular cast in the strips that follow this one, as it took the strip in a more surreal direction than I was really willing to go. Interacting with Willow in the forest is also a limited idea, so for now poor Malthus goes without a character to talk to in cartoon oblivion.
